Recommendations, not advice — and why the distinction is load-bearing
Two sentences appear on every result page in this product. They are not boilerplate, and the design would be dishonest without them.
Two statements appear on every result and every instrument page in CentDNA. The first: CentDNA provides recommendations, not investment advice. The second: a digital representation is not legal ownership of an underlying asset. Both are load-bearing, and neither is decorative.
The first distinguishes what this engine does from what it might be mistaken for. CentDNA compares a profile you described against the structural characteristics of instruments and ranks the fit. It does not know your circumstances, your obligations, your tax position or your tolerance for being wrong. Advice requires all of those. A ranking requires none of them, which is exactly why a ranking is not advice however confident the number beside it looks.
The second distinguishes the instrument from the thing it references. A token that references a currency is a claim, structured some particular way, against some particular party. Holding it is not holding the currency. Under stress, the difference between those two positions is the whole story — and the interface, which shows both as a single tidy figure, is the least reliable place to learn it.
There is a third statement in the footer of every page, and it is the widest of the three: CentDNA is a concept product. No assets are issued, held or offered here. Every issuer in this catalogue is invented, every instrument is illustrative, and there are no prices, yields, market caps or reserve attestations anywhere on this site, because publishing invented numbers in those categories would be indistinguishable from publishing false ones.
That last constraint shaped the product more than any design decision did. An instrument here can tell you it has deep liquidity, a same-day redemption window and a segregated custody model — those are structural properties of a hypothetical thing. It cannot tell you what it yields, because a made-up yield attached to a made-up issuer is a made-up fact, and made-up facts about financial instruments do not become harmless by being clearly labelled.
The MVP is discovery. There is nothing to buy here, no wallet to connect and no position to take. What there is, is a way to find out what your own profile looks like — which is a question worth answering before any of the others become relevant.
